REMEMBER WITH HEART
 
This painting was created specifically for Remembrance Day 2023 in Canada. And was part of the Stony Mountain event.
It is done in poster style and is filled with symbolism.
 
The man in the painting represents an ordinary man, not a military man. And it reminds us of each and every one of us. A dove symbolizing peace appears above his head with the inscription on the ribbon “Remember with heart”. After all, war leaves an imprint not just in memory or on the pages of history. 
And in the area of a man's heart burns a candle. This candle is a symbol of grief. No matter how many terrible events, wars, it is necessary to remember that these are losses and to honor the memory of each dead. It also reminds humanity of the consequences of wars.
 
The light in the painting gives hope for a peaceful quiet time.
